Radiation Oncology Association is part of University of Maryland School of Medicine and provides various programs and services. Its research areas include brachytherapy, hyperthermia, neuro-oncology, stereotaxis, conformal therapy, 3-D treatment planning and CT simulation. The association s research area also includes microcirculation of tumors, tumor microenvironment and molecular sociobiology. Radiation Oncology Association offers medical dosimetry training, and undergraduate and graduate medical programs for students. Its medical dosimetry training program is approved by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board. Additionally, it provides classes in treatment planning, remote afterloader and stereo tactic radiotherapy. It also offers classes on the use of interstitial and intracavitary sources of radionuclides. Radiation Oncology Association is located in Baltimore.
