New Castle Building Products is a family owned and operated distributor of building supplies based in White Plains, New York, serving the Northeastern United States. With a history dating back to 1910, New Castle has evolved from a small sheet metal distributor, to a full service distributor of building materials specializing in commercial and residential roofing. Kris Steele, President, took ownership of New Castle in 2002 with one branch out of White Plains, NY. With over 18 years in the industry, Kris has focused on building a strong company based on customer service, availability of inventory and loyalty to its employees. This maxim has been the cornerstone of New Castle Building Products and the driving force behind its success. In 2004 Kris' father, Ray Steele joined the company bringing over 40 years of unparalleled knowledge and experience to New Castle. Kris and Ray came from a large corporation but insist on maintaining a family approach to business in all its dealings with customers, vendors and employees, while providing the highest level of professionalism. This mix of small and big business methodologies have helped New Castle develop the strong relationships that make it a growing player in the industry. In the past eight years New Castle has expanded its footprint through greenfield locations focused on obtaining the best talent in the industry. Today New Castle consists of 5 branches strategically placed throughout the northeast with over 70 employees and a fleet of over 25 trucks, cranes and booms.
