Completely agree with Ron45. Thought things have changed based on some recent positive reviews but was I wrong. Worst haircut in my life - my hair looked better before the cut than after. And also overheard staff making fun of a patron about being too "demanding." Expecting a minimum standard of service to be met is not being demanding.

If you are the sort of person that wants the same cookie-cutter cut and color that you've always had and a pat on the back to reassure you that you look ok (when you might not) - this is not the place to go. Don't let the laid-back atmosphere fool you, these are talented stylists affordably under-priced. From my personal experiences, this is one of the cheapest places in Chapel Hill where you will get far better results than any where else.



Johnnathan has been doing my hair for over 6 years now and the cuts only get better. He truly has a gift for seeing what cut will look best on a person's facial structure. He is also an amazing colorist and I've changed my hair color drastically over the years, with only compliments.



The stylists are sincere, they'll actually answer the questions you might have about your hair without any snottiness. They also know their product line, which is more than I can say about most salons, where you feel like they're always trying to sell you something you don't need. The atmosphere is like being around your relatives. It's obvious how close everyone is and how they bring their clients into the fun.



If you like a spa-like atmosphere where stylists have the attitudes that they could be doing something better with their time, you will not find that here. These people actually love what they do and it's been a pleasure creating relationships with them.

My family and I have been clients at Salon 135 for over a year now, and we have yet to been disappointed! The staff are very friendly and personable, and the quality of their work is excellent. I would definitely recommend Salon 135 with confidence!

I've been going to Alan at Salon 135 for a few years now. I like short hair, and Alan delivers a trim cut with style every time. I like that I leave with even sideburns, a clean shaped neckline, and a bit of length on the top that I can style with a little product. I also like that I can just wash and let my hair dry with no product, no combing, or other fussing. The cut looks good either way.



The location at 128 E Franklin is a nice environment. The salon is clean and the other stylists are pleasant and fun. I feel welcomed every time I visit.

I've been going to Salon 135 for a while now, and I love it. Jonathan is amazing!! Very nice, friendly, fun, and laid back. The other stylists seem great as well, although I've never been to anyone but Jonathan. The location is awesome, and I love that it's a small and comfortable place. Also, the receptionists are always really helpful. I've never had a scheduling issue. Great place to go!
