Provided by YPmobileI can tell you I have tried and tried to enjoy this place but it consistently just lets me down. The showmanship has gone down hill and don't get me started on the cross contamination! Using utensils to go from raw chicken to cooked vegetables.

Provided by YP.comWell some people in my Family thinks this place is great but for my 1st experience I wasn't very happy. First the phone call to make reservations which are a must was a very abrupt person, then when it came time to eat the presentation was wonderful but the food was not all that fantastic. I got tenderloin and scallops with no flavor , the only thing I did care for was the soup and vegetables. Enjoy if you choose to go.

Provided by YP.comDO NOT EAT AT YAMATO! My husband took me to Yamato tonight for a nice dinner. Turned out to be NOT so nice! Mid way through my meal I notice a large ant crawling around in my food! I tell the chef, who sits and watches it and says "oh" but keeps on cooking! I waited a moment to see what he would do- nothing! So I got up and found the first employee and told him to clear our plates because we will not be eating anything else because there is an ant in my food. He took my plate and sent over the manager who did not apologize, but rather said "you're worried about an ant?" and offered to have fresh food cooked for me. Makes me wonder what else I should worry about if not an ant, or are they so used to the ants that they don't think it is a big deal??? Needless to say, we did not want any more food from them, fresh or not! They still charged for my husband’s meal but took mine off the check. Not a big deal for them as they give free dinner away constantly on people's birthdays. It ruined my husband's dinner and experience just as much, but the rude little manager didn't seem to understand that and said "the chef probably didn't understand". Really? Because he watched an ant crawl around my food, don't think you have to have good English to understand that!

Provided by YP.comGreat place to eat! Only issue was the lack of staffing- we had to wait 30 minutes just to sit, then another 20 to get the chef to the table. Takes time but the food is plentiful for the pricing, good for a family gathering!
Service is always timely. I've yet to have a cook I would not rate at least great. I enjoy watching the amazement in the eyes of new customers as they take in the volcano, and tricks performed while the meal is prepared. This is really a great place to relax and enjoy great food at the same time.
Excellent food and entertainment. Occasionally long wait times, especially on weekends, so make reservations ahead. The service is great, the food is the best Japanese steakhouse-produced fare in Northern Florida that I've experienced. All of the chefs are expertly-trained Japanese, not like some of the other competitors. Highly recommended.
