Very disappointed in this office. First off they are very expensive. But I figured if they are that high they must be good. Wrong. The doctor gave me a small physical and told me I was fine and gave me a prescription for pain. Well by the next day it didn't help. I needed something stronger. I called back and they took my name and said somebody would call me back. I waited 2 days and nothing. I was in so much pain. I called them back again and wanted the name of the person I talked to. I didn't know. So they took my name and said they would call me back. They never did. So I ended up going back to Dallas to my MD and he took an X-ray that revealed that I had a severely pinched nerve in my L2. He prescribed me the right meds and treated me for half the cost. I drove back to Laredo specifically to go have a word with this doctor today and when I get here they are closed. There's a lady sitting inside at the desk and she refuses to even see what I want. The net says they are open today from 9 to 5. Anyway. This doctor is more concerned with over charging you for doing nothing and the service sucks because they do not return calls. Please if you have any sense at all, avoid this place like the plague. Stay away. I wish I had known I had a pinched nerve when I first went to see him instead of waiting several weeks to see my doctor in Dallas that showed me my X-ray witching 15 minutes with the problem. Really. These people don't care. And it wasn't Sued. It was Martinez.

Offended

I have been to this office a few times within several months and before each visit I always ask if I needed to bring my medications that I take daily and the response has always been no. My last visit I was given a urine test and waited for my next appointment to start new procedures. The day before the appointment I received a call stating that I would no longer be seen at by this doctor. I asked why and the nurse said that there were medications that showed in my urine that I am not supposed to be taking....????? My question was how do they even know what prescriptions I have if they never recorded them in my records!! I have been on medication for years for several different health issues and yes they will show up in tests. The nurse made me feel like I had done something wrong but if my medicines are prescribed to me what gives the the right to say I'm not supposed to be taking them?? I'm filing a complaint with the medical board because I went there for help and was basically turned away. All they had to do was record my prescriptions and they would have been aware of them in the urine screen. Make your own judgements but I would BEWARE of this doctor!!!!!

I was refered to Dr. Sued by m...

I was refered to Dr. Sued by my general practice physician. When I called for an appointment I was told it would be a month. I wasn't happy with this but what could I do? About a week before I received a call reminding me of my appointment. The lady making the call asked me if I had registered, said that I was supposed to register with them a week before the appointment. She acted like I was supposed to know this. Nobody had told me this - as I told her. She said OK we will take care of it before my appointment.

I arrived at my appt. early and filled out the paperwork. I sat back down - about 5 minutes later the receptionist called me up to the window and said "We cannot see you today because you were supposed to get a referral from your insurance." I explained that I had been refered by my doctor, that no one had told me anything that I needed to do anything else. The woman immediately took a really nasty offensive tone with me and asked me "Don't you understand your coverage?" I told her that I was used to all this being handled by the doctors and their staff, and said "I waited a month for an appointment and now you tell me I can't see the doctor? I am in pain here." At this point another receptionist chimed in "I find it hard to believe you waited a month" - basically she called me a liar! I then said I would not be coming back to this doctor and left.

I am 58 years old and suffer from degenerative disc disease. I have been to lots of different doctors, but I have never been treated like this! I directly went over to my general practice doctor, and the lady I talked to there (billing specialist?) told me that there was no need for any other referral from insurance to see Dr. Sued, and she didn't see what could have caused a problem. She then called another pain management doctor, who is going to see me 2 days from now (instead of a month).

I honestly can't say anything about Dr. Sued himself because I never got to see him. But I would avoid this medical practice like the plague. There is absolutely no reason to treat anybody the way I was treated here.
