Well, I have not been to the Addison location, however, the service at the Chaucer's in Lewisville is appalling! A group of us went there for casual drinks and dinner. However, I was the designated driver and 3/4 into our meal I wanted to switch to water. When I asked our server for a glass, he said no. Excuse me, no?!?! We had a tab of over $200 and they refused to serve the designated driver a glass of tap water?! We then asked for the manager, who reaffirmed that Chaucer's does not serve tap water, but $3 mini bottles are available for purchase. It apparently does not matter whether or not you are a paying customer. However, he had no problem providing me with a cup of ice!! Unbelievable. It amazes me that a place like this, that relies on getting people drunk and then profiting off of their basic human need for water, manages to stay in business.
