Date night ruined... we sat at the bar and had excellent service we should of stayed there. We brought our appetizer to our table and waited for our server as we needed plates. He finally came over we asked for waters and bread plates. He took 10 min to bring the drinks out and never brought the plates we ate our appetizer off of the plate it was presented. A bit of a challenge when you need to cut. Our dinner order was taken and salads brought out he never offered bread we had to ask again and also for plates. Never got bread or plates. He started to be incredibly rude. We waived a manager down and finally notified them of the situation. He didnt do anything. The server finally brought out 2 loafs of bread, and said here. Our food came out and it was incorrect. Another manager came out and ended up switching our server for another. We paid over 100$ for horrible service and the wrong food. We'll never return and I wouldn't recommend this location ever

I went to salt grass steak house off 2484 South Stemmons, Lewisville Texas 75067 on Friday 1-18-2013 around 4:30pm. I walked in and sat at the bar and Nache the bartender came and took my order. My salad came out and then my appetizers came out which was the seafood fondue. The one corner of the fondue was hot and then when I started to get to the middle was cold. I told Nache about it, she took care of the problem, and it came back hot.

As I was eating, I noticed a server digging into a trashcan trying to find something. As the server did not find what he was looking for he went to the other trashcan by the bar right in front of me. I was thinking he better be washing his hands after reaching in 2 trashcans. As the server finished what he was looking for I saw him go to his table in the so-called patio room. I saw him grab the tea refill and fill the table’s drinks up without missing a beat. Then the server came back to the bar, I was disgusted and asked for his name, and he told me Brian. I asked him to get a manager for me as he did I went to the table and told them what I saw.

A manager named Toby came out and started telling him what the problem was and he went to get the General Manager. As to my surprise, it was Dan. A surprise in I was at that same store a few months earlier and my bartender that was a male, and was serving me. The bartender went to the so called patio room and was eating ribs and was licking his fingers and sucking the bbq sauce off them and then went to the kitchen and crab my food and served it to me without washing his hands. Dan and I spoke and Dan assured me he would take care of it. Dan sent me some gift cards and I went back and stuff was ok I did not noticed anything. Therefore, I thought ok everything is ok.

As Dan walks up to me and I said hi Dan, are you kidding me? Kidding me that you have a server on the floor digging through the trashcan and then another without washing is hands and server his customers. Dan looked at me with deer in headlights looks. As Dan and I was talking about 5 to 10 minutes I asked Dan why he didn’t go to that table and clear everything off of there and give them new stuff. Dan told me there were sanitizer bottles at the stations. I then ask Dan what good are the bottles if the server is digging in the trashcans and not was his hands. Then I noticed another server named Jay rubbing his eyes and mouth as he grabs some drinks to take to his table. I brought that up to Dan.

I told Dan to take care of my food that I didn’t eat and this time I am gonna tell everyone and everybody about how unclean their place is. Therefore, I left and 5 coupled were going to go in to eat and stop them and told them what had happened and they said they really like this place but will never go back. I would have stayed all night stopping people from going in there to eat but I had to be somewhere.

Well if you have read this and still decide to go there and eat, be careful and watch everybody that handles your stuff, but I will not go there until I know for sure the problem was resolved.

I have been going to salt grass for 13 years and never had a problem and I would tell everyone how much I love that Place. I will not do that anymore.

My husband and I absolutely love this place!! The food is always excellent and the service is world class. Great place for just a family dinner or you can rent one of their patios for a private event for no charge, they are very accommodating!

Dinner with friends on a Sunday at 5 PM. Overall my wife and I felt it was very average and not worth the money. We split a 10 oz filet (for which they charged $33.97), had potato soup, dinner salad, caesars salad, bread etc. Nothing jumped out as great. The filet is over seasoned. Soup was average. Service was OK but why can't they remember who ordered which dish? We paid the tab and with tip, $115.00 for four. You can get better meal for less at Logan's or Texas Roadhouse.

Dress casual and go with an empty stomach because the steaks and hamburgers are great at Saltgrass!
