Provided by YP.comThe parking around the restaurant was terrible! We had to walk 4 blocks in the rain to get to it, so bring an umbrella just in case! When we walked in the door we were immediately greeted, but they just stood there with a blank look on their face when we said that we had a reservation. She looked and looked at the computer and said that there was none. Finally someone that knew what was going on came over and magically scolled up on the computer screen to find our reservation. She seated us in a large cabana, where we were able to talk and catch up for about 20 minutes before they took our drink order. We finally got our drinks, placed our order, and plugged in our iPod to listen to "our kind" of music. That part was great. You can listen to your own soundtrack. The food was out about 5 seconds after we ordered it, which was good, but it's also proof that they probably nuked it. The food itself was interesting, but nothing to write home about really. They didn't even have salt and pepper on the table to add some flavor. I had the chicken and black bean ravioli and my date had the bacon wrapped scallops. I thought the menu was overpriced because you do not get a starter salad, bread, or anything while you're waiting. We left hungry and had to eat again once we were home. Furthermore, we were having a good time, looking over the dessert menu when the same ditzy hostess that couldn't use the computer to find our reservations came and told us, "A large party just came in and you have been using this table for almost two hours. We have a two hour limit." That's when I said," This place is really cool, but I'm never coming back to it." I could see that he had tried his hardest to make this night memorable for us, but they were being rude the moment we came in the door. So, in conclusion, Bad first impression, Bad service, Bad attitudes, Bad last impression, but the wine list was good. We were not rude, demanding, or even short with our waiter. We were very friendly and appreciative of the service we did recieve. I have worked in food service for almost 4 years, so I know why things go wrong like that. I am very understanding, but their attitude was unforgivable. All we did was try to have a good night out, but it was embarrassing to be treated so badly on our first date. They made us feel very awkward and uncomfortable with how unprofesional they were. I would encourage people to try this place out, because it is a very cool concept and a very neat atmosphere, but just don't expect much beyond that. It's sad but true. That place could be awesome if they would just hire people with an IQ larger than their menu prices.
