Holidaze is a family-owned and operated Seasonal Gifts and Collectibles store in Plano, Texas. We opened our doors, as "Always Christmas, " in September of 1991, after Tom Demarest approached his wife Belle Marie, their daughter Kathi Rupp, and daughter-in-law Sheri Demarest with the idea of a year-round Christmas store. They loved it, and so the three ladies pooled their funds together to begin this venture. The Christmas Season is our favorite time of the year and we wanted to make the holiday spirit available to Plano year round. Our store was first housed in an old, vacated Mexican restaurant on the corner of Custer Road and Park Blvd. The family worked night and day tearing down walls, painting and remodeling the building to make it pleasing to the eye. After the renovation was complete, we filled the store with ornaments, trees, nativities and other holiday decorations. Customers enjoyed shopping in the friendly atmosphere of the store. We have always made it a priority to greet each person when they come to visit. We also listen to our customers and take note on which products they would like to see in their store. As each year passed, our business steadily grew. After five years, we moved to a new location at Parker and Independence. In the fall of 2000, we enlarged our retail space. Our business continued to grow, and after another five years, we moved to our current location at Preston and Parker Road, but with a new name. Since our new location is our largest yet, we decided to expand our product line to include collectibles and gifts for all the other holidays of the year. After a visit to Holidaze, the reason for our success is clear. Our beautiful collectibles include pieces by Christopher Radko, Department 56, Steinbach, Fontanini, Mark Roberts Fairies, House of Hatten, Possible Dreams, Byers Choice, and Lee Middelton. We pride ourselves on customer service. We have a mailing list for special events, this web site, a bridal registry, and we also call customers when new shipments arrive. We ship worldwide and receive many requests from across the nation. With the support of Plano and its surrounding communities, Holidaze continues to grow.
