Steve does a good job. He is reliable. He doesn't take credit cards, so bring cash or check. He was polite and friendly. No hassles.

I have been getting my shoes repaired by Steve for 18+ years. I remember his original shop on 9th East. He is the best. No one does better work. I don't even live in the area anymore and have tried others when desperate but always return back to Steve. His work is quality. He is able to do amazing repairs. The price can add up quickly, but that is because he does an excellent job. Ignore the other comment. Steve is a hard worker but likes to have a life too (closed on Sat & Mon). So he takes care of business at the register efficiently so he can get back to work. I wouldn't trust my shoes to anyone else!!

I had a couple of purse straps repaired and I was completely satisfied with the work, especially since they looked unfixable to me. Reading the other review here, I wouldn't describe Steve as sugary sweet or anything, but then that kind of over the top customer service usually makes me uncomfortable, so I would say he has pretty much the exact demeanor that I hope people have when I have to buy something from them or pay them for a service. He answered my questions, we were both polite, and he did the job in the time he said he would.

I have been using Steve to build orthothotic corrections for 10 years. He is the best and only person in Utah able to do this work. Always honest, always on time with superior work. He does not put up up with rude or mean people. After all he lives in a rough neighborhood and see all types.

I found Steve to be both charming and efficient........he really knows his stuff!He's taking care of my "shoe needs" from here on...!!!!

When I originally called to find out about a quote about replacing a tip on the end of my stiletto boots ($10 quote over the phone - some how became $11.75 2 hours when I got there), he was rude and tried to get me off the phone. When I dropped off my shoes on a Tuesday, he was very dismissive as well. He said I they would be ready Thursday "AFTER 4:030 PM!" and be sure not to forget it. I had forgotten about a company luncheon that I had on Thursday so I tried to call all day on Wednesday to see if anything could be done to get them ready early (and I was willing to pay extra) but he never answered the phone. I drove down to his shop to see if anything could be done and he got VERY mad and said " I don't know what you people expect!" He "doesn't have elfs working there!" I asked for my boots back and he said "good luck getting them done right somewhere else." When I told him how rude he was, he said I was the rude one.
