- The building symbolizes both the desire of Koreans to establish strong and positive diplomatic relations with the United States since the end of the 19th century. An exhibit of photographs at the museum shows pre-colonial Korea's diplomatic activities in the United States, including those of Minister Park Jeong-yang, who also served as a Korean diplomat to Tsarist Russia. The building symbolizes both the desire of Koreans to establish strong and positive diplomatic relations with the United States since the end of the 19th century.
